SAILING BAY OF BENGAL--DAY 2

Tuesday, April 9th
Another beautiful morning of smooth sailing out here in the Bay of Bengal.  I guess we can thank Costa and Carnival cruise lines for the recent change in Maritime Law.  All cruise lines are now required to have life boat drills every 14 days.  Maybe if you are a first time cruiser, but for us after 72 cruises, it is ridiculous.  Ok, no more complaining-for today at least!  So at 10am we will trot down to "muster station A" to be re-educated.  At 11am our enrichment lecturer, Sandra Bowern, has a presentation on "The Story of the Taj Mahal".  Theme for today's lunch buffet at pool is "fish al fresco".  May have to order another room service salad however.  I tend to eat too much at buffets, especially Regent's buffets.  I went up to take some photos of the buffet and ended up with this.
seafood paella, shrimp & crablegs, grouper, cocktail sauce
Grilled salmon, grouper, or king fish
                                                                   Salads
                                                         Crab claws and shrimp
                                                seafood pastas made to order
                                                                   Some sweets
Several flavors of ice cream or frozen yogurt offered daily.
Yesterday I did 30 minutes on elliptical trainer, 30 minutes on the stationary bike, walked 2 miles up on deck, and ran 1 mile.  Not sure what I will do today.
Last night we ran into our friends, Allison & Joe, up in the Observation Lounge having pre-dinner cocktails so joined them and went to dinner at Sette Mari (Italian).  We spent nearly 3 hours talking.  Will be joining them for dinner again tonight as all the full cruise (Beijing to London) passengers (80 of us) have been invited to a special Indian dinner up in La Veranda.  Sette Mari will be closed tonight for this special dinner.  I am not a Indian food lover but should be fun.  Definitely want to see tonight's show at 9:30 as Jade Milion is returning with her "Soul Classics".  You may recall how much we enjoyed her Whitney Houston music last week.
Weather at 1pm--88 degrees,  47% humidity, light wind, mostly sunny, flat seas, no swells.  PERFECT!
